Dear Sponsors and Players of LA Open,

Hope we find you well during this difficult time of COVID 19 pandemic.

Here comes the Labor Day weekend—traditionally the most significant weekend every year for the sport of table tennis in the US.

LA Open was inaugurated in the 2011 Labor Day weekend under the leadership of our founder Dr. Yungtai Hsu.  It was the first table tennis event of such magnitude in California.  The huge successes we experienced have prompted us to make it an annual event for nine years in a row and counting.

Unfortunately, due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, we had to cancel the 2020 – 2021 LA Open to protect the safety and health of everyone involved in LA Open.

Approaching this very significant weekend, we sincerely hope the continued health of every one of our sponsors, players, fans and volunteers.  We also want to assure you that we will do everything we can to resume LA Open in 2022, barring uncontrollable issues.

For our sponsors, we want to thank you again for your generous support in the past and look forward to having your continued support in the future.

Again, please keep yourselves safe and healthy.  We will reach out to you again soon.

Dear Sponsors & Players of LA Open,

We hope we find you well during this very difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In view of the worldwide spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the uncertainties and concerns caused by the pandemic, LA Open Table Tennis Tournament Organizing Committee has decided to cancel the 2020 -2021 tournament.

We will resume our annual events in 2022.

The decision was made to protect the players, the volunteers, and the fans of our tournament.  It is also our intention to abide by the social distancing policy adopted by the Federal and State Governments.

Please accept our whole hearted appreciation for your support of our past events and we look forward to having your sponsorship and support for our events in 2022 and beyond.

During this unprecedently public health obstacle , please keep yourself and your loved ones safe and healthy.

Thank you again and look forward to meeting you again at the 2022 LA Open.
